Meridian Risk Management (UK) Ltd has extensive experience in delivering security within the construction industry and particularly in relation to large scale National Infrastructure & Utilities projects. Members of the consultancy team were key to providing security during the construction phases of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
We realise the importance of security in an environment where threats from different groups, both internal and external to the project, can cause severe delays to schedules and lead to costly increases in budgets. We recognise that the threats may arise from an organised or opportunistic criminal and with varying aims, from material asset theft to sabotage, through to organised theft of large plant and protest actions, and potentially even from terrorism. Our Threat and Risk Assessments are designed to identify countermeasures that will reduce the impact to the project schedule and delivery.
Our experience has also shown the importance of security to, not only ensure the project operates in a secure manner, but also being integral to assisting the Health & Safety and Logistic teams, making sure the site operates efficiently and safely. As such it’s fundamental that as we design solutions for our clients, we ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged in the process and their requirements form an integral part of the final design.
In order to ensure your project’s security is sufficiently flexible and adaptable, to manage the varying phases and changes that occur, we see our role as being integral to the Project Management team, so that we can advise on the security requirements during each phase of the project’s lifecycle. To aid us in this integration, not only have our team considerable experience in construction projects, but we ensure our consultants all have Health & Safety qualifications and many have undertaken the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
